Ohio Direct Sales Network began in the northeast area of
Cincinnati, Ohio in 1999 as Cincinnati Party Consultants. The group was the
brainchild of Melanie Moore. Melanie saw the need for a support and networking
group for the many individual women around the area working direct sales or
party plan businesses, sometimes without the benefit of local leadership. Her
hope was that this group could provide a supportive environment that would
encourage a sharing of ideas and energy as each woman attempted to grow her
home-based business in an effort to stay home with children, yet provide
additional income to her family.
Our members represent many different types of home-based businesses. We sponsor recruiting and selling events each year. At our monthly meetings, we have guest speakers, shared training topics, and other topics of interest to members. We also actively engage in service projects. Our current program involves choosing a local charity and raising funds or donating needed items, through the proceeds from our monthly Quarter auctions.
